A night to remember in Porto. We did not take home the trophy this time, but we are incredibly proud to have been nominated for two SEO awards at the European Search Awards, one of the most prestigious stages in European search marketing. Being shortlisted at that level is an achievement in itself, and one we do not take for granted.
What we entered
Both of our entries were shortlisted in the Best SEO Campaign category, and they show two very different sides of how we approach search.
HOMS Assist: an intent-led SEO pilot for legal services. Legal is a competitive, high-stakes category where the people searching are often at a moment of real need. Our work focused on matching search intent precisely, building a pilot that targeted the queries that actually mattered rather than chasing volume for its own sake.
Shalford Interiors: competitive conquest through positioning and pricing. A very different brief. Here the work was about winning ground from competitors by getting positioning and pricing right in search, and turning that into measurable commercial results.
Two campaigns, two sectors, one shared principle: SEO works best when it is tied to a clear commercial goal, not treated as a traffic exercise.

A team effort
A big congratulations to Talia, our SEO Manager, and to Niamh from our digital marketing team, who represented Rooftop in Porto. Being in the room with the best in European digital marketing is something worth celebrating, and a sign of how far the SEO side of the studio has come.
Why awards like this matter
It is fair to ask what a shortlist actually means for clients. For us, the answer is straightforward. Awards judged by industry peers are an external check on the quality of the thinking, not just the results. They push us to document our work properly, to be honest about what drove performance, and to hold ourselves to the standard set by the best agencies in Europe.
We do not think this will be our last award ceremony of the year. Keep an eye on us.
